Austrian Clarinets, featuring Voice

The Austrian Clarinets was founded in 2014

Besides teaching and playing in the Austrian Clarinet Ensemble, all six members are active musicians, whether in wind bands or in other ensembles (clarinet choir etc.) Before founding the Austrian Clarinets (AC), the founder Friedrich Pfatschbacher has played worldwide with the predecessor Ensemble Woodwind. Highlights in the history of the ensemble was the concert tour throughout China with concerts in the greatest concert halls.

The quality of the arrangements and original compositions and especially their ensemble playing opened the Austrian clarinets the door to a various repertoire. Their concerts take place throughout Austria and also in Europe. With its impressively and natural performance, the ensemble is a popular and respected guest at festivals in Austria.

Additionally opened the cooperation with the mezzo-soprano Birgit Pfatschbacher tonal possibilities, that you'd normally hear from a chamber ensemble or salon music. In special arrangements, featuring Birgit Pfatschbacher, the Austrian Clarinets performed also the famous Carinthian-Songs (Kärntnerlieder).

Their performance opened the ears to the possibilities for Woodwind moving seamless from one musical epoch to another.
