Marco Meraner (drums)
he was born in Rottenmann/Styria.
The Austrian drummer Marco Meraner studied concert studies in Jazz percussion at the Vienna Music Institute as well as diploma for education (IGP) with Prof. Klemens Marktl and Mag. Harald Tanschek .
Permanent Cooperation with The Legendary Daltons, Meissnitzerband, The Staggers, Die Grafen, Jonny Comet & the Rockets, Smart Smokers, Deluxe, Tommy Lee, Phantom Power, Five Live, Curtis Jensen, Dulemann, Michael Pewny, Alpencasanovas, Johnny Favourite and others.
His musical activities includes also Radio and TV performances, concert tours at home and abroad (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Dubai, Croatia, Slovakia)
Participating in workshops and masterclasses with Jost Nickel, Claus Hessler, Mike Johnston, Chris Coleman, Roland Neffe, Anton Mühlhofer, Anika Niles, Karl Brazil and others.
Teaching at the music schools Weissenbach and Langenwang (Styria). Since 2008 active as drum teacher at the music school of Mautern/Liesingtal (Styria)
2017 Founder member of the Jazzensemble Worldmusic a la Carte.
